Centigrade Conversion
Changes to Page 312 of Volume 1:
To convert from Fahrenheit to centigrade, subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature and multiply by 5/9. For example:
A client has a temperature of 102°F. What is his temperature as measured in centigrade?
(102-32) × 5/9 = 39°C
To convert a centigrade reading to Fahrenheit, multiply the centigrade temperature by 9/5, and add 32. As a cross-check, we can verify the preceding example:
Client temperature = 39°C
(39 × 9/5) + 32 = 102°F
